Tilt in Poker (Strategy)
Poker Tilting or Tilting in Poker means that a player technically loses his reasoning whilst playing; that is, he is not approaching the game with a strategy and is going only by ‘feelings’, hunches and moods. Tilting at Poker is usually an act of frustration whilst playing the game.
Here are some tips when you begin tilting at Poker - mosty - keep your head on straight!
1. Notice early warning signs of going on tilt (such as good wins which make you feel heady and bold, or maybe even rowdy).
2. Before you actually GO into any tilt behaviour, recognize that some events may get you distracted and upset so prepare to respond to it by resisting the urge to start playing wildly and unreasonably.
3. Leave the table for a while, if neccesary; if you can resist, try standing up for a hand or two.
4. Learn that you are the only one to control yourself.
5. Recognize that if the game conditions are not to your liking, you should go elsewhere and distract yourself.
